1. Miami's birth name is Kamaris
>>> He changed his name after finding an old license plate that happen to say "Miami" on it. For some reason the odd word stuck in his head for some time and, after a very bitter relationship with his parents, young Kamaris changed his name to Miami as a way to sever the connection between his family and himself.

2. Miami is the youngest child
>>> He actually had three older siblings, though he never got along with any of them and Miami simply dislikes violence, and his family was always quite violence. This of course is why he used to be shier around other tibumeru and humans. Isolated, he rarely met anyone outside of his immediate family, so when he did finally move away he was able to open up and realize that not every one around him were complete assholes.

3. Miami had a friend human once
>>> She lived on the docks over his family's home, and her name was Samantha Smith. She wasn't born on the islands, but her family had moved there when she was eight years old. Miami made friends with her when he retrieved a large conch shell that was in water too deep for the little girl to swim in (not to mention her fear of drowning). They knew each other for 3 years, but Miami has not seen her in 2.

4. Miami is an arrogant dick
>>> He doesn't come across as being especially arrogant, but he is constantly looking down on all of his friends and those he meets. Also being very sanctimonious, Miami is certain that his morals are far above those of others. As far as he is concerned, he is more intelligent, more talented, and simply "more better" than those he associates with.

5. Miami loves colorful things
>>> Whether it's flags, old wrappers, sea shells, or other bits and bobs, if it is colorful Miami wants it. He is very fond of colorful clothing and colorful people. He wants to be friends with anyone who has interesting patterns and colors over their skin.
