A lot of people only seem to be aware of 1st and 3rd person when writing...but there are actually a LOT of different point of views out there. One of these is 2nd Person, which is often used for instructional purposes. It is when things are told from the point of view of "you" instead of I, he/she, or it. However, "you" doesn't always have to be the reader.
With this in mind I have decided that I will be typing out some short excerpts/stories told from the 2nd Person, in which I will develop a character that, despite being "you" will be a unique character in a story.
I enjoy writing in 2nd Person because, much like 1st Person, it is much easier for a reader to visualize, and makes them feel like part of the story, which is always half the fun! Along with practicing using the 2nd person, I will also be practicing my description skills using, of course, the sensory functions of the reader (hearing, smelling, seeing, tasting, feeling, smelling).
So, in case you guys weren't aware that I am a big writer, now you know!
